Whyy? Change appoints marketer, Laura Stead, to head-up their marketing programmes
Laura, a marketing consultant and trainer, joins the Whyy? Change team of skilled practitioners at their Sheffield head office. Laura became a CIM Chartered Marketer in 2007 and has worked with a wide portfolio of business both in house and as a freelance consultant.
Laura said: “I’m immensely proud to support people who are carving their professional marketing career. It’s an honour and a privilege to share my skills, knowledge and learning with others. I’m a firm believer in learning by doing and that applies perfectly to marketing. I’ll be delivering marketing apprenticeships and professional CIM qualifications that enable people to do just that – gain the underpinning knowledge from industry experts while learning from real-life ‘on the job’ experiences.
I’m incredibly lucky to be able to head-up the marketing delivery at Whyy? Change while continuing to build my consultancy business. They’ve welcomed me into the team with open arms (socially distanced of course) and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Ray Byrne, Whyy Change CEO, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Laura to the team. Laura is a talented and skilled practitioner who can support businesses to upskill their marketing teams into professional marketers with the skills, knowledge and practical know-how needed in the workplace.
Our mantra is to provide business knowledge and services to transform people and industry. Laura displays the right behaviours to support our business growth, as well as having a wealth of marketing experience to draw upon.”
Matt Trueman, Whyy Change Head of Communications, said: “Marketers wear their Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications like a badge of honour – it demonstrates that they are a recognised marketing professional and part of a community of fellow CIM marketers. Laura’s appointment ensures that we can continue to grow our marketing offer, from recognised CIM courses to apprenticeship that includes CIM accreditation as standard.”
Whyy? Change delivers a range of apprenticeships and professional accredited courses aimed at transforming businesses. Marketing is just one of six knowledge bases that businesses can benefit from, others include Lean & Six Sigma, Leadership, Marketing, Quality and Functional Skills. Businesses who are interested in transformation through skills development of their staff, should contact Whyy? Change to discuss what options and funding may be available to you.
