Jackie Cook is the Managing Director of CQ Strategic Marketing, specialising in engineering and manufacturing businesses and the Founder of the Equality in STEM network. She has set up the network to attract, develop and retain a diverse and inclusive mix of people in STEM careers and support STEM businesses to become more diverse and inclusive. Jackie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Women’s Engineering Society, she holds an MSc in Marketing Management and is currently studying towards a Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Certificate from the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR).

Jackie said “ I wanted to become a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador for Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber to have the opportunity to be part of the discussion in a wider business context beyond the STEM sectors I’m directly involved in, I would like to learn from the experiences of others to shape recommendations and best practice for all going forward. I would like to better understand the issues surrounding discrimination around race and sexual orientation and how we can ensure a workplace culture that is inclusive. I would like to help promote the issues raised and help showcase how these can be addressed in businesses and society as a whole.”
