Glu Recruit on the fundraising trail again as fee donation campaign concludes
Glu Recruit, the South Yorkshire based recruitment agency, have raised another £1,000 for charity following the conclusion of their fee donation campaign, which ran between July and September 2020.
Raising £500 each for their charities of the year, Paces and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, this brings Glu’s total fundraising efforts so far this year to over £2,000.
Devising the campaign to coincide with the companies 4th birthday in the summer, MD Rob Shaw, felt running a fee donation campaign, where Glu Recruit donate a percentage of profits over a three month period, would be a great way to raise money whilst in the midst of the social restrictions we all find ourselves under.
Rob Shaw comments: “We are keen advocates of fundraising at Glu Recruit, and not being able to hold physical events this year means we have to think of different ways to support our chosen charities.
“That’s why we decided to major on the fee donation campaign, as it was something we could run over a longer period of time, giving as much exposure to the charities as possible.
“We also wanted to help businesses in the Sheffield City Region re-ignite their recruitment processes again as they started to get back into their offices following the initial lock-down period, and felt the charity angle would show our commitment to giving something back into the community.
“We’re so pleased with how well the campaign has done, and a huge thanks goes to all our fantastic clients who have supported us during this time as well, as without them this wouldn’t have been possible.”
Julie Booth, Head of Fundraising at Paces adds: “We have absolutely loved working with the fabulous team at Glu Recruit over the past few months. The whole team have really taken Paces to heart and their fundraising efforts have already raised £1,500 for our charity.
“This donation will be used towards building our brand new school and centre which will help us to support up to three times as many families with neurological conditions.
“Thank you so much to Rob and the team, we can’t wait to work with you again in the future!”
Anna Gott, Regional Fundraiser (Barnsley and Rotherham) at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at Glu Recruit for all their support these past few months, and for pledging to support us in so many fantastic ways in the year ahead.
“It’s been a challenging few months where many of our fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed, so the support of brilliant, community-spirited businesses like Glu Recruit is more important than ever.
“Thanks to their support we can continue to help local children and families make precious memories in the time they have together that they’ll always treasure.”
Glu Recruit have further fundraising campaigns planned in for Paces and Bluebell Wood in the run up to the end of the year, which they will be disclosing further details of soon.
