There’s no time like the present for businesses that are considering installing EV charging points on their premises.

Before the 31st of March companies can take advantage of two incentives that are running and get a free site survey into the bargain.

The first is the government Workplace Charging Scheme which covers up to 75% of the total costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge points and is capped at a maximum of:

  • £350 per socket
  • 40 sockets across all sites per applicant

You can also take advantage of the Super Deduction Tax which allows all eligible companies to deduct 130% of the hardware cost from pre-tax profits.

This tax is also available for other energy-related assets such as solar, LED lighting and heat pumps.

So in short, if you were to pay £10,000 on the energy-efficient hardware you’d be able to deduct £13,000 (130%) from your pre-tax profits.

You’ll need to be quick to take advantage though as the Super Deduction Tax break ends on the 31st of March 2023.

Contact Chamber Services Partner Professional Energy Purchasing to arrange your free site survey and help with your green energy plans.
