As you may be aware the ISO 45001: 2018 will soon be replacing the existing OHSAS 18001. Should you wish to migrate to this new standard you will need to do so by the 11th March 2021, after this date your existing health & safety certificate will have expired and will be invalid.

The good news is that If you currently hold certifications in ISO 9001 or 14001 and you are looking to migrate your current OHSAS 18001 system to ISO 45001, you’re nearly there! How is this? Due to the high-level structure, Annex SL. This is an element of which 9001 & 14001 are built around clause, “4” – Context of the organisation. ISO 45001 also adopts the process-based approach which incorporates the Plan, Do, Check and Act cycle (PDCA).
