Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber hosted an interactive presentation delivered by Bob’s Business on Incorporating Cybersecurity Into Your Company’s Culture on May 11th, led by Ben Race and Anya Bridges. The event aimed to educate attendees on the current threat landscape and how to reduce the likelihood of successful attacks on their businesses, while also providing insights into what makes the information businesses hold so valuable and how it is used by attackers.

During the presentation, attendees learned about the importance of cybersecurity awareness and how to integrate secure behaviours into their everyday routines. The speakers emphasized the need for businesses to make security part of their culture, as cybersecurity is critical to the success of any business.

The event was a success in raising awareness of cybersecurity threats and best practices for mitigating them. Attendees gained a better understanding of how to incorporate security awareness into their company’s culture, how to measure the effectiveness of their cybersecurity programme, and how to reduce the likelihood of successful cyber attacks.

The presentation was followed by a networking event and a Q&A session, which provided attendees with the opportunity to ask questions and connect with fellow business professionals. The event was attended by members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, who appreciated the valuable insights and knowledge shared by the speakers.

“We are pleased to see such a strong turnout for this event and the positive feedback we have received,” said Shane Young, Operations Director of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. “We are committed to providing our members with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves from cyber threats, and this event was a great step towards achieving that goal.”

The event was hosted at the Chamber’s Barnsley office at the recently opened Barnsley College Business Centre. Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber is committed to hosting similar events in the future, as cybersecurity remains a critical issue for businesses of all sizes. Businesses can benefit from staying informed on the latest threats and best practices for mitigating them.
