Around 650 young people enjoyed an “out of this world” experience at the North Star
STEAM workshops sponsored AESSEAL for the third year running.

As part of the workshops, Professor Brian Cox delivered an inspiring talk about the
wonders of the universe to students at Gulliver’s Valley, South Yorkshire.
AESSEAL Managing Director, Chris Rea, said that “deepening the engagement of young
people in the core science and technology subjects was the best hope for the future during
the current climate crisis.”

Two ex-students of Wickersley School and Sports College, Maisie Caudwell (a Machinest
Apprentice) at AESSEAL and Ava Jones (AESSEAL Marketing Manager) spoke at the
event about their apprenticeship journeys, including Maisie’s experience within the
business and Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, and Ava’s support for the
company’s sustainability and net zero achievements
