Independent Training Services to provide fully-funded digital skills training for South Yorkshire employers
Employers seeking to improve the digital literacy of their staff can now access fully-funded training from Independent Training Services (ITS).
The training, which will be delivered by ITS, is backed financially by two regional campaigns – The European Social Fund (ESF)’s ‘Advancing Digital’ and the Growth Hub’s Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW).
These incentives aim to promote digital up-skilling in the workplace and boost employability by providing fully-funded training opportunities, which ITS then utilise to create bespoke training packages for employers. These packages can feature quick-fire workshops, more extensive courses up to Level 2, or a combination of both.
Full courses include Level 2 Awards in IT User Skills, GDPR, Digital Skills for Employment and Digital Marketing.
The workshops on offer focus on specific programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Teams, as well as cyber security and an introduction to social media for business.
Places are also available for the popular International Computer Driving License (ICDL) workshop, which gives users a comprehensive introduction to the basics of computer literacy such as email and word processing.
Stephen Hepworth, Managing Director of ITS, said: “The funded places provided by the SSW and ‘Advancing Digital’ campaigns are a fantastic opportunity for employers in South Yorkshire to assess the digital abilities of their workforce, identify any gaps in knowledge, and fill those gaps.
“It’s more important than ever for businesses to move with the times. As a well-established provider of commercial training both digital and otherwise, we are perfectly placed to help employers take that first step.”
