Visitors to Gulliver’s Valley theme park are set for a real chuckle this August as local legend Paul Elliott, one half of the iconic Chuckle Brother’s, visits to celebrate two years since the opening of Chuckle Street.

Paul, who opened Chuckle Street at the popular family attraction in 2021, is set to make a welcome return to Rotherham to meet fans at Gulliver’s Valley on Wednesday 16 August at 1.30pm.

Paul said: “I’m looking forward to visiting Chuckle Street – I can’t believe it is two years’ since I opened the fantastic Chuckle Street – a great celebration of mine and Barry’s journey through our Chuckle careers.

“I’m immensely proud that Gulliver’s Valley created the street of photos, bringing back some great memories and hosting a place in Rotherham that celebrates that history.”

The indoor area tells the story of how the brothers, best-known for starring in long-running BBC children’s TV programme ChuckleVision and their support of Rotherham United FC, became one of the country’s most-loved double acts.

Paul, added: “I’m looking forward to meeting families on the day, who are enjoying a day out at this amazing theme park, right on their doorstep in my hometown of Rotherham.”

Gulliver’s Valley recently celebrated its 3rd anniversary and has quickly become a popular addition to the family leisure scene in South Yorkshire. It is the fourth and newest Gulliver’s Theme Park Resort in the UK, joining Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes and Gulliver’s World in Warrington.

Julie Dalton, managing director at the family run Gulliver’s Theme Parks and Resorts said:

“We can’t wait to welcome Paul back to Gulliver’s Valley, not only is he a Rotherham legend but our family audience love to see him at the park.

“We hope that lots of people will come along on the day and celebrate two years of Chuckle Street.”
