Chamber Vice President and Director of Enzygo Matt Travis, has pledged to support the BatonOfHopeUK mission to bring about change by eliminating the stigma around suicide. Matt has felt the impact which suicide can have, through the experience of close friends being the victim of suicide, which has led him to put his lend his and Enzygo’s support to this worthy cause.

#BatonOfHopeUK is designed to be the biggest suicide awareness and prevention initiative in the UK, by opening up necessary conversations and prompting appropriate actions. The specially designed baton will tour UK towns and cities for two weeks in Summer 2023, raising the profile of suicide awareness. To reduce the stigma, and get better at asking questions, listening, and directing people to the right help.

Enzygo has committed to working to improve the ability to connect and collaborate with services already working to save lives; shining a spotlight on actions that do not support people’s mental health; creating better signposting for people needing support, and positively challenging the UK government and public institutions to aim higher in suicide prevention.

We hope you can join Matt in promoting this worthy cause and together we can save lives.
