Member Mentoring Programme Terms and Conditions

 The Services 

The Mentor has agreed to provide a Mentoring service to the Mentee, on the terms of this agreement. 

The service will consist of meetings and/or phone calls, emails or other written and/or online communication as appropriate between the Mentor and Mentee from time to time as agreed between the Mentor and Mentee throughout the 2 hours mentoring request.  

The Mentor shall not at any time be obliged to provide or continue to provide any mentoring service after the initial mentoring request has been delivered, but if and to the extent that they do, such services will be provided free of charge. 

The Mentee shall not at any time be obliged to request or receive ongoing mentoring services from the Mentor after the initial mentoring request, unless agreed between both Mentor and Mentee. 

The existence of this agreement shall not prevent the Mentor and the Mentee entering into a new and separate agreement whereby the Mentor provides services to the Mentee on a fee paying basis. If such an agreement is entered into, it shall replace and supersede this agreement, which will automatically terminate.  

 Liability 

The Mentee shall not at anytime be obliged to act on any information, suggestion or guidance given by the Mentor as part of this programme. However, if and to the extent that the Mentee does so, it shall be at the Mentees own risk. 

The Mentee unconditionally and irrevocably waives any right of action it may have as against the Mentor in relation to any such information, suggestion, advice or guidance.  

The Mentee is advised to take independent financial, legal and other professional advice before acting on any information, suggestions, advice or guidance.  

The Mentee acknowledges that any services provided by the Mentee in pursuant to this agreement are provided free of charge and in good faith. Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce or the Mentor will not be liable to the Mentee or to any Third Party for any loss, damage, costs or liabilities suffered as a result of this agreement, the existence of the relationships between the parties or mentoring provided.  

 Term 

A Mentee can request upto 2 hours of mentoring per session, the Mentor can accept or reject any Mentoring request. The Mentor will only be obliged to offer mentoring to one Mentee at a time. Once the mentoring has been delivered, the same Mentee will be able to request a further 2 hours of mentoring, the Mentor shall not at any time be obliged to provide or continue to provide any mentoring service.

Confidentiality  

Each party will keep in strict confidence and shall not use (except for the purpose of the mentoring described in this agreement) all and any information of a confidential nature which it obtains from the other party as a result of the arrangements contemplated by this agreement. This clause shall not apply in relation to any information that is already in the public domain at the time of disclosure.  

 Miscellaneous 

Nothing in this agreement is intended to, or shall be deemed to, constitute a partnership or joint venture of any kind between any of the parties for any purpose.  

A person who is not a party to this agreement shall not have any rights under or in connection with it.  

Clause 2, 4 and 5 shall survive termination of this agreement.  

The Mentee is advised to take legal advice in relation to this agreement as Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of commerce will not be responsible for any suggestions, advice and support acted upon. 

This agreement drawn up by Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of commerce constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between the Mentor and Mentee with respect to the agreed mentoring to be delivered.
