What is net zero and how can your business achieve it

24th February 2021 at 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The urgency of tackling climate change is clear, and it’s becoming increasingly important for businesses to show a commitment to reducing emissions. The government’s plan for a green industrial revolution uses terms like net zero, decarbonisation and carbon neutral – but what do these terms actually mean for businesses?

Join our online workshop to find out, and to hear directly from two businesses close to achieving net-zero emissions. AESSEAL, an international company based in Rotherham, and Crystal Doors, an SME based in the North West, both have experience in reducing their carbon footprint, and will share their expertise and answer your questions.

In addition, the Translational Energy Research Centre team will explain how we can support your initiatives for free*.

You’ll hear:

  • Presentations and Q&A sessions from businesses already on the journey to net-zero
  • Real-life examples of net-zero translating into businesses of all sizes, and the positive impacts of sustainability measures
  • Everything you need to know about becoming carbon neutral, right from the beginning
  • How the Translational Energy Research Centre can offer free* support for your business to support your sustainability and net-zero initiatives
  • This is the first of three events from the Translational Energy Research Centre, culminating in a networking event at our brand new research centre facilities later this year.
  • You will have chance to ask questions during the workshop but if you already have a question you would like to ask the speakers you can also send them through in advance to [email protected]
