The Civic Society are continuing with their blue plaque scheme and will be unveiling two blue plaques next Tuesday 6th July at 13.30 hours.
The plaques are in respect of two well known Rotherham men from the 19th C: The first unveiling is for John Mason who was a Jeweller and Watchmaker at 36 High Street. The other one is for Thomas Badger, a well known solicitor in the town, who lived and worked at 29 High Street.
The Civic Society has recently published a booklet with information about the twenty two blue plaques erected around the town and borough. Free copied of these will be handed out to anyone that is interested in joining the Society. Please come down and join us for this event.
