Course Introduction

This is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide First Aid in a range of Emergency First Aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

Course contents

During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of Emergency First Aid situations including:

• How to respond Safely Promptly and Effectively in an Emergency Situation
• Unconsciousness Casualty including Recovery Position
• Adult CPR Choking
• Wound Management
• Bleeding Minor Injuries
• Shock

Assessment and Requalification:

Learners will be continually assessed throughout the duration of the course and when successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. This is valid for a period of 3 years and can be renewed by attending another Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course. The course consists of practical assessments and a multi choice question paper.
