William Islip – Commercial Director of SBD Apparel

William is an experienced and award-winning Relationship Banker with a demonstrated history of working in the financial industry and supporting clients in meeting their long term ambitions. He is skilled in relationship building, business strategy, business planning, structured funding, and financial risk.

He joined SBD Apparel in 2022 as Commercial Director with the aim of using his strong relationship skills to leverage key global stakeholders to support the executive team’s ambitious growth objectives.

In addition, he is a strong finance professional and holds the Chartered Banker qualification (MCIBS), issued by The Chartered Banker Institute.

Finally, William is proud to represent SBD Apparel as a Freeman for the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire. The company was formed by a parliamentary act in 1624. Today it’s primary purpose is to promote the manufacturing industry within the Sheffield City Region.
