“If your business is involved in construction, whether it be design, build, first or second fix, adaptation, decoration or ongoing maintenance, then this event could be helpful to you.

Barnsley Council and the public sector more broadly want to work with local businesses in construction but often this can feel like a difficult or time consuming process for local providers.

This event will showcase what opportunities in Barnsley are coming up over the next 12-18 months for you to get involved in and we’ll also talk through how to apply to become a supplier to the public sector.

We’ll discuss the basic requirements needed to be able to take part and we’ll have experienced professionals on hand to chat to about what you need and give helpful tips and resources to get you started. This will include health and safety requirements, what licences, accreditations and policies you might need and what insurances you will likely be asked for.

At the end of the session you will take away all the information you need to be able to take part in public sector opportunities in Barnsley and more broadly should you want to”
