For the very first time, the Rotherham Real Ale & Music festival has teamed up with Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber to offer a unique and unmissable afternoon of networking and beer tasting.
If you think a hop is something you do one leg, or a stout porter is something you may typically find in a hotel and you would like to find out more about how beer is made, then this is an event not to miss.
The special session will take place at Magna between 4:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday 7th March, and offers a chance to enjoy a sneak preview of the 2024 Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival.
Discover how beer is brewed, learn how to identify the characteristics associated with different beer styles. You’ll hear from Chantry Brewery who will share their story about how a team of three friends successfully rekindled the brewing industry in Rotherham, as well as learning a little about the festival itself and how a small school fundraising event helped to lay the foundations for one of the most popular events in the North of England.
During the event you will also have the chance to sample a range of six different beer styles which will feature inside the festival.
Following the conclusion of the session, you will also receive complimentary entry to the festival, giving you a chance to test your newly gained knowledge, whilst enjoying a packed evening of entertainment.
Proceeds from this event will be used to support the Rotherham Cancer Care Centre.
