The Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) is the professional body for qualified taxation technicians who specialise in the UK tax compliance. Members are qualified by ATT examination and practical experience. The ATT examination are made up of 5 papers consisting of four compulsory papers and a choice of one from four optional papers.

Successful completion of all 5 papers and at least 2 years practical experience in UK taxation can lead to ATT membership.
Course Structure
The ATT papers are available as either classroom based studies or, upon request, distance learning. Classes are available as either a day or evening and run for 3 hours per module. For those wanting to undertake studies by distance learning, materials is emailed weekly for delegates to work through and then return a piece of work for marking to the tutor. Once the tutor is satisfied that the delegate has understood the subject for that week, the next material is then despatched. Support is available via email and telephone.
Delegates enrol for one paper at a time and receive dedicated tutor support throughout their studies.
Assessment
Each paper is assessed via examination. The Law and Professional Responsibilities and Ethics papers are assessed via e-assessment and the remaining papers via written examinations.
