Introduction
AgilePM is the UK’s fastest growing project management methodology!

This APMG authorised upgrade / conversion course addresses the practitioner level needs for project team members utilising Agile Project Management.

Building on the knowledge established in the foundation level this qualification measures the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the Agile Project Management methodology. Particularly its application and tailoring in a non-complex project scenario is examined.

 

Audience
This course is suitable for project managers, team members and managers from any discipline requiring a higher level of understanding of Agile Project Management than the foundation level prescribes. This audience is typically preparing for the Agile Project Management Practitioner Examination.

 

At Course Completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand Agile Project Management at the Practitioner-Level
  • Have knowledge and insight to enable them to manage an Agile project
  • Demonstrate their status as a Practitioner (dependant upon examination results)

 

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:

  • The delegate is required to have achieved a ‘foundation’ level qualification prior to attending this course. Details are provided under ‘Examinations’.

  • The ‘Agile Project Management Handbook’ published by DSDM® Consortium (Delegates may already have this)
  • Comprehensive APMG Accredited Courseware

Course Outline
A Pre-event preparation pack including pre-reading guidance will be sent to everyone attending this event. The course is built around the latest APM Group syllabus and features an interesting case study to illustrate the Agile Project Management methodology and to help with understanding of its concepts and application. Delegates should ideally refresh their foundation level knowledge prior in order to be fully prepared for the course.

The course is delivered by our expert trainer and incorporates highly effective interactive classroom techniques to ensure that the concepts and skills are acquired and retained.

 

Course Detail
The purpose of the day’s training is to build upon the knowledge the learner acquired during their Foundation level preparation and to orientate them towards success in the Practitioner examination which is sat during the course.

A Pre-event preparation pack including pre-reading guidance will be sent to everyone attending this event. The course is built around the latest APM Group syllabus and features an interesting case study to illustrate the Agile Project Management methodology and to help with understanding of its concepts and application. Delegates will need to spend approximately five hours studying in order to be fully prepared for the course. The course is delivered by our expert trainer and incorporates highly effective interactive classroom techniques to ensure that the concepts and skills are acquired and retained. During the day the practitioner level topics are introduced, discussed, practised and applied to appropriate scenarios.

  • Presentation and discussion of successful examination techniques with practitioner level question practise and review

Agile Project Management Practitioner Examination

  • Objective Testing Format: Scenario, Question and Answer Booklets
  • 4 questions per paper, 15 Marks available per question
  • 30 marks required to pass (out of 60 available) – 50% pass mark
  • Two hours duration
  • Open-book examination (restricted to the manual only)

 

Completion
At completion, students will be able to:

  • Apply Agile Project Management at Practitioner Level
  • Demonstrate their Practitioner Status (dependent upon examination result)
